Lionel Richie has announced details of a UK arena tour to take place next year.
Famed for his hits such as ‘Hello’, ‘Easy’ and ‘Dancing On The Ceiling’, Richie will play three dates in total with two nights at London’s O2 Arena (July 2-3) following a night at Manchester Arena (June 28).
Lionel Richie’s popularity in the UK was handed a boost this summer when he performed to over 100,000 people at Glastonbury. Appearing in the Sunday afternoon ‘Legends’ slot, he attracted one of the biggest audiences of the weekend.
Richie subsequently reached Number One in the Official UK Albums Chart with greatest hits album ‘The Definitive Collection’.
Speaking in a statement, Richie said: “It’s been an unforgettable year and I can’t wait to return to the UK to see my fans. It’s always been a really special place for me and this year in particular the UK has been incredible to me. I’m excited to be getting out there and seeing some new faces and I’m sure some old ones too!”
