Eagles Of Death Metal will join U2 onstage at their rescheduled Paris gig this Sunday (December 6).

The band’s performance at Paris’ Bataclan venue on November 13 suffered an armed assault by terrorists, and 89 people were killed, including the band’s merch manager Nick Alexander. In their first interview after the attacks, the band said they said they wanted to finish their tour, with frontman Jesse Hughes adding, “I want to be the first person to play in the Bataclan when it opens up.”

According to a Billboard source, the band will perform with U2 on December 6 at Paris’ AccorHotels Arena and will recommence their European tour in February 2016. Josh Homme, who was not present during the Bataclan attack, will reportedly also be at the U2 gig.

U2 frontman Bono recently revealed that he bought the band members new mobile phones and offered them use of his private jet in the immediate aftermath of the incident.

“We had a plane, which we put at the Eagles’ use if they wanted it, but they found another way. The best thing we could do for our fellow musicians was to buy them phones,” he explained to The New York Times. “I spoke to Julian [Dorio] and to Jesse [Hughes]. But that was the best thing, Jesse said, just getting the phones to be texting and all the stuff that you do — social media — to find out what’s going on. Their phones were in the venue.”

This week Josh Homme played host to fellow Eagles Of Death Metal member Jesse Hughes in the latest episode of his Alligator Hour radio show on Beats 1. During the show, the pair played the Deen Ween Group’s cover of their track ‘I Love You All The Time’, after Homme called on musicians to cover the song as “a show of solidarity” following the recent shootings at an Eagles Of Death Metal gig in Paris last month.

Homme and Hughes also ended the show by holding a moment of silence before playing Jeff Buckley’s ‘Hallelujah’.
