‘Distance Inbetween’ is The Coral’s eighth studio record and their first of original material since 2010 release ‘Butterfly House’. Last year saw the band release “lost album” ‘The Curse of Love’. The album was
recorded at Liverpool’s Parr Street Studio with co-producer Richard Turvey.
The album is dedicated to Alan Wills, The Coral’s early mentor and Deltasonic label boss who died in 2014.
“Before we started making the album we had discussed that we wanted it to be more minimal and rhythmical,” frontman James Skelly says in a statement. “We thought ‘if you’ve got a rhythm section that’s been playing together for almost twenty years, why not make that the centre of the songs?’”
Paul Molloy, formerly of The Zutons, has joined the band on guitar with Ian Skelly, Nick Power and Paul Duffy rounding off the current line-up of the band.
‘Distance Inbetween’ tracklist:
‘Chasing The Tail Of A Dream’
‘Beyond The Sun’
‘She Runs The River’
