Coldplay’s new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ is finally set to be streamed on Spotify.

As previously reported, the band made their seventh studio effort available on Apple Music, Tidal and Google Play Music but it is not currently available on rival platform Spotify.

The four-piece’s back catalogue remains available on the streaming service, as do two singles from their new album – ‘Adventure Of A Lifetime’ and ‘Everglow’. A statement given from Spotify also said: “Coldplay’s ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ is not yet on Spotify, but we look forward to making it available very soon.”

The band currently have 16.2 million monthly listeners on the service.

Press/BBCNow after negotiations with Spotify, it has been agreed that the album will be streamed online this Fiday (December 11), to premium and free users, according to a statement on the band’s official page. It reads: “Coldplay’s new album ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ will be available here from Friday 11th December. Come back then to listen.”

The band recently added a fourth date at Wembley Stadium to their 2016 UK tour.

They will play a fourth gig at the London stadium on June 15. This is in addition to previously sold out gigs on June 16, 18 and 19. Tickets for the new date are also on sale on Friday at 10am.

Frontman Chris Martin has said ahead of the tour: “I think that not going on tour with [2014 album] ‘Ghost Stories’ was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music. ‘A Head Full Of Dreams’ was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that.”

The tour is the band’s first in three years. Coldplay will play the following live dates:

Manchester Etihad Stadium (June 4, 5)
Glasgow Hampden Park (June 7)
London Wembley Stadium (June 15, 16,18, 19)

In addition to their world tour, 2016 will also see Coldplay perform live at the Super Bowl half-time show.
